Palayangan River becomes the best choice of rafting activity in Bandung. Stable water during the year, beautiful landscape and near enough from downtown becoming added value of this river.
Lies about 45 km in South Bandung, precisely at Pangalengan district as known as a district to produce milk and vegetables. The starting point of rafting activity in this activity on this river reside in location of Situ Cileunca, be at height 1200 m above sea level with temperature 18° – 26° C. The Situ Cileunca represent artificial lake broadly more than 14.000 m², surrounded by pine forest, tea plantation, alpine forest, also kitchen garden owned by local society become especial source irrigate the Palayangan river. At normal condition, the water flow is 2 m³ per second, at the rains season with water volume which abundance the water flow earn to reach more than 4 m³ per second.
Palayangan River was classified on class III – IV rapids at VI difficulty level, with 5 km long and 30° – 65° gradients. The rafting activity on this river can give more challenging not only for beginner but also for rafters which have followed in other river.
